Pond & water feature builder in San Diego, CA.
We design and build custom ponds, waterfalls, pondless waterfalls, and rainwater harvest fountains across San Diego County — from the coast to the inland valleys.
Local knowledge
Built for San Diego yards.
San Diego is one of the best places in the country for outdoor living, and one of the trickier places to build a water feature well. The reasons are the same: dry summers, decomposed granite soils, coastal salt, wildfire-conscious planting rules, and a mix of hillside lots that don't quite behave like anywhere else.
We build for the county we live in. That means EPDM liners specified for UV and heat, pumps sized for the elevation gain on a real hillside, rock work that echoes the boulders you see on a walk through Mission Trails, and planting that leans on Mediterranean and California native species that thrive without a heavy irrigation load.
Rainwater harvest work matters here in a way it doesn't everywhere else. A well-designed vessel fountain fed by winter rain can carry a front-yard planting zone through months of dry weather — a small thing that becomes a real thing when the water bill arrives in August.

What we build here
Water features for the San Diego climate.

Recreational Ponds
Natural swim ponds and ecosystem ponds designed for our warm, dry summers. Aeration and shade planting keep temps manageable and water clear.

Waterfalls
Boulder waterfalls that echo the granite outcrops of the county. Built to feed a pond, spill into a hidden reservoir, or run down a real hillside.

Pondless Waterfalls
The one water feature that reads as a welcome at the front door. Ideal for small courtyard yards and coastal homes with strict setbacks.

Rainwater Harvest Fountains
Made for a Mediterranean climate. Capture winter rain in a below-grade cistern and slowly release it to a drought-tolerant landscape all year.

What building here actually looks like.
Most San Diego projects start with a walk-through in a couple of weeks, followed by a design and a firm written estimate. Once you approve, we pull permits with the appropriate jurisdiction — city of San Diego, county, or one of the incorporated cities like Encinitas or Carlsbad — and schedule the build.
On-site work usually runs three to eight weeks depending on scope. We coordinate around HOA rules where they apply, and we're familiar with the review process in the county's design-controlled neighborhoods like Rancho Santa Fe.
Water availability matters. Many of our recent builds have added a rainwater harvest component to offset seasonal irrigation demand — a small design choice that pays back for years.
